Install Google Chrome on Ubuntu

Hello my dear Linux Yogi’s,

usually Mozilla Firefox is the default for most of the major Linux Distributions and in this illustration I am going to show you how you can install Google Chrome as an additional Web Browser. 

Lets get started. Start up Firefox.

Search for Google Chrome and click on the “Download Now” link.

Click on the button “Download Chrome”

Click on the button “Accept and Install”

Make sure you save the installation package because in some cases the direct install using the Ubuntu Software Center does not work.

Open up File Manager and go to the Downloads folder. Right click the installation package and choose “Open with Software Install”

Now the Ubuntu Software Center starts up and gives you the option to install Google Chrome. Click on the “Install” button.

Next you need to authenticate for the system to be able to install the desired package.

After the installation process is done you can click on the Ubuntu Icon in the top left corner and search for Google Chrome
