Hello my Linux Yogi’s
in this illustration I will walk you through the installation of Ubuntu Studio 16.10 in easy to follow steps. Ubuntu Studio 16.10 was release in October 2016 and is available as 32 and 64 bit. Download the ISO file from http://ubuntustudio.org/ and burn a DVD with it.
Insert the DVD, boot from it and make your language selection.

Select “Install Ubuntu Studio”

Select your desired language

I recommend to check both check boxes in order to get latest updates and driver support during the installation

This step here is special just for Ubuntu Studio offering you additional applications to complete the Ubuntu Studio edition.

I recommend here to erase the entire disk for a fresh installation

Writing the disk changes back to the disk

Select you desired timezone

Select your desired keyboard layout

Provide your computer and user information

Now the system installation is in progress

Restart the system to boot into the newly installed system

Remove the installation media

Logon to the newly installed system

This is how your Desktop is going to look like.

In the top left corner is the Ubuntu Studio Menu with all its applications and system settings

In the top right corner there is the Date and Time control

next to it there is the Audio controls

followed by the networking controls

and lastly there is the Power controls

After you clicked on the Power Off icon in the Ubuntu Studio Menu you will see the following Log off and shutdown controls

This now concludes the installation of Ubuntu Studio 16.10. As you have seen it is fairly simple to install Ubuntu Studio 16.10. If you liked this illustration or not feel free to leave a comment. If you like to see specific articles use my Contact Form and tell me about it.
