How do you do my dear Linux Yogi’s
this is going to be a quick and dirty illustration for changing your default application in you Ubuntu desktop. A lot of users don’t like the given default and install additional Application like browsers, video players or photo managers or viewers.
It is not as obvious to find the place to change the default applications. So follow along. Go ahead and click on the System Settings Icon

All System settings been displayed. Click on the “Details” Icon

The “Details” application opens up. Select “Default Applications”.

On the right hand side you see the current default applications.

Click on the drop down arrow for the web browser for example and select your desired web browser.

Do the same for the Photos app or any other application you like to change.

That is it. Close this application and you are all set and can enjoy your new default applications.
