Good Day my dear Linux Yogi’s
today I am going to show you how to manage “Startup Application” in Ubuntu. In some cases it is really useful to have Application start automatically after successful login.
In my case I like to have my Twitter App, my VoIP App and Web Browser to start automatically. In order to do that we have to use “Startup Application” to manage this. So click on the Ubuntu Icon in you Unity Launcher and start typing “Startup App” and you should see something like the following:

After you clicked on the “Startup App” you should see the following window.

Click on the “Add” button in order to add additional application to start automatically after successful login and you will see the following.

Provide a Name for the desired App, enter the command path for the desired App or Browse to it and lastly add a comment for your desired App. Click on “Add” to finally add the App to the startups.

If you like to remove an unwanted App just highlight it by simply clicking on it and then click on the “Remove” button and it will be removed.
I hope you like this quick and dirty illustration. Please register and leave a feedback. I will very much appreciate it.
Until next time, Namaste my friends
